Our Program

Here at Dalla Grazia Doberman we strive to produce healthy, balanced, and workable dogs. While our primary goal is to produce dogs who can participate in bitework training and/or competitions, our dogs can also excel in other venues such as UKC conformation, AKC obedience, barn hunt, fastCAT, and other AKC sanctioned sports. We also have puppies that would be perfectly happy living as an active pet.

I am an Animal Science graduate from Clemson University, a full-time dog trainer, and an AKC evaluator. I have worked as a vet tech, a kennel assistant, a caretaker at multiple boarding facilities, and fostered a large number of animals in my life. I have experience training and/or titling dogs in agility, rally, obedience, IGP(Schutzhund), WDA(Working Dogs of America), PSA(Protection Sports of America), FastCAT, Coursing, Barn Hunt, trick dog titles and AKC and UKC conformation.

Breeding is not about the money for me, it is about bettering the breed as a whole. Dobermans can have many issues such as DCM(fatal heart disease), misc cancer, weak nerves, and the inablity to perform their original job, protection work. Although breeders can not guarantee these things to never be an issue, it is my goal to keep them as far away from my lines as possible. My foundation dogs were chosen for longevity and workability and are fully health tested. We test for DCM, vWD, DINGS, Narcolepsy, and over two hundred other genetic diseases. We also test their hips, elbows, eyes, and heart(we do a yearly holter and echo).
