Resource Guarding & Chews

To Prevent Resource Guarding : always trade your puppy while they are young, and then teach an “out” when they are older. Working-line Dobermans can have high posession, meaning they don’t like giving up their valuable treats or toys. If you have other dogs in the hose, always give high-value treats in the crate for them to chew by themselves. I also recommend feeding meals in their crate. As far as chews, for low/medium value bones I like all the SuperChewer toys and Benebones. For high value treats I give XL rolled beef cheek, FarmHounds rolled beef hide, and XL yak chews in their holder. Only ever give chews that are fuly digestable, Your Doberman will destroy all soft toys. I avoid them unless they are 100% supervised for the entire time.
